"Mommy, I'm tired. Can I take a nap?"
The little girl falls into a deep sleep. However, she never imagined that when she opened her eyes again, she would be in a completely different world.
Something's wrong in the train station, keep it in mind, heads up...
Production Pipeline
Documenting & Scope
I was given the direction of creating a level with an underground train station as the stage.
I start with the walkthrough document.
Then, based on the walkthrough, created the sketch of top-down map and level timeline.

Preproduction Package
For the preproduction package, I made adjustment for the top-down map.
Compared to the sketch, the basement is separated into two areas so it will be easier for future changes, and so are the stairs.
I also created the asset list, to clarify the elements needed for the finished level.
Last, I gathered photos and artwork on Pinterest as the reference for environment.

Level Blockout, Popcorn Trail, IGCs, and Lighting
I started with simple cubes and cylinders to create the train station. The main character is a 10 year old girl, so I must make sure everything is in the right size first.
After the space looks properly proportioned, the next step is to create the popcorn trail with text rendered objects for the player to go through the quest and finally reach the level goal.
Later, some text were replaced by sequences, and point lights were added to set the mood. I used warm color for emphasis and cold color general environment as the contrast, and green/red light to show accessibility.
